Media, Mentions and Articles
I don’t consider myself an influencer; I prefer to think of myself as a catalyst for adventure. My mission is to encourage people to break free from their routines, embrace spontaneity, and explore the world around them. I specialize in guiding travelers to hidden gems—those lesser-known towns, unique restaurants, and charming lodging options that often go unnoticed. My goal isn’t to influence but to inspire and motivate others to learn from my experiences and embark on their own journeys.
While I strive to keep my website and social media accounts up-to-date, my true passion lies in helping others break away from the mundane. I encourage them to stray from well-trodden paths and uncover new, enriching experiences.
As a Level 6 Guide on Google, I rank among the top 20% of restaurant and lodging reviewers. I’ve also answered over 1,000 unique questions for fellow travelers, sharing my insights and recommendations.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of planning and leading rides across North America. Additionally, I’ve contributed articles to several esteemed publications, many of which you can find below.
Roadrunner Motorcycle Touring & Travel
Out West with Dad
This was the first article I ever had published in print. It was an emotional piece since it featured the first long-distance ride I ever took alone with my father.
Texas Hill Country
I received my first contracted travel assignment in 2013. I was hired to explore Texas Hill Country.
In hindsight, heading to Texas and into Mexico in July, was not the wisest weather time to visit. But the enthusiasm of my first assignment was too good to pass up.
TransAmerica Trail Part 1 of 2
In 2017, my writing life came full circle. After unexpectedly losing my dad I set about on a two month healing journey across the United States.
After picking up my dad’s motorcycle in Hartford, CT I traveled to Tennessee. From there I traveled off road from Tennessee to Oregon on the TransAmerica Trail before heading home to Colorado.
In addition to weekly blogs shared through the magazine with readers, I was offered back to back issues to feature my story.
TransAmerica Trail Part 2 of 2
On the second half of my trip I was joined by Luke Swab, future star of Animal Planet’s Alaska: Battle on the Bay. Having never met prior, Luke flew in from Alaska and bought a used bike and we road together for the next several weeks.
We began the trip as strangers, but ended as frineds.
City “Escapes”
These two pieces are part of a City Escape feature. The premise is to create a one day round trip route highlighting the scenery and points of interest.
The first was through an area called Rampart Range on my way to the top of the 14,115 foot Pikes Peak.
The second was a one-way dirt road up to the 12,183 summit of Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park.
ADV Moto — Colorado Passes
I had the pleasure of contributing to ADV Moto to write about several interesting Colorado Mountain Passes.
THUNDERROADS Colorado
The nice folks at ThunderRoads reached out to me after reading my TransAmerica Trail Blog. For a number of months I contributed to their magazine focusing on the Colorado Riding Community. Unfortunately, the Colorado division of the magazine closed their doors in 2016.
Free Spirit
40 Passes in 40 Hours

Honorable mentions
I’ve had the great pleasure of meeting and riding with several amazing people. Occasionally, they’ve been kind enough to mention me in their work.
Other writing
Over the years I have written on a variety of subjects outside of travel. Links to many of these pieces can be found on Contently.
