The day is finally here. After about Heading to the Ferry in Bellingham, WA to hop on the Alaska Marine Highway System. I hope to provide more information and pictures soon, but the Kennicott Ferry does not have much in the way of amenities and connectivity. We will be departing around 6p, following the check-in and loading process.
We then travel up to Homer. If all goes well, we will arrive 5 Days 20 Hours and 30 minutes later. on the afternoon of August 11 at 2:30 PM. I want to thank everyone who has made this trip possible. Most of all my wife Beth for all of her support in my seemingly crazy adventures. Our kids, Nya and Sophia for letting me miss their first/last day of school as they being 5th and 8th grade; seniors at their respective schools. The folks along the way that have taken us in, fed and housed us! Last, but not least, Bill, for joining me on this crazy adventure.
There will be much more to share along the way. I am also going to try and track the Ferry up the inner passage. The ferry and the ride should be trackable along the way at. https://share.garmin.com/AdventureHermit.
However, until we arrive, there may not be many updates. In the meantime, I will be capturing what I see, and be sure to share as connectivity allows.
Thanks, for joining me on this journey!
